"I tell a story with still images. I convey an emotion. I was once in Iceland with my son. Our equipment was set up and we were there for four hours. A parade of people came and went. They would walk up and click a picture and leave but we had been there for hours waiting on the perfect light. That is the difference. You might take a “pic” and make a memory, I take a photograph and make you want to stare at it on your wall forever. Photography is a treasure. I hunt and create an image that moves you.  Other people may come and stand on the bank of the river and snap a shot, I get in the river. That is part of the magic of photography. That is what drives me to do what I do."
